Gravitational Waves in Astrophysics: From Theory to Observations
Fecha: 18 de noviembre 2024
Hora de inicio: 00:00 hrs.
At this school, we will offer participants an introduction to gravitational wave science, covering astrophysical modeling of binary systems, perturbative waveform modeling, and data analysis techniques using the HPC cluster.
Each of these parts will be led by national and international experts. The program emphasizes hands-on computational modeling and will be conducted entirely in English.
The target audience is composed of postgraduate students (Master’s and Ph.D) and researchers. Due to the practical nature of the course (hands-on computational modeling), the number of participants is limited to 35 people, selected based on academic merit, gender equality, and geographic diversity.
The School Gravitational Waves in Astrophysics: From Theory to Observations will take place in person at the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM), Universidad de Chile, from Monday, November 18 to Friday, November 22, 2024.
